We all know how eye makeup is an extremely essential part of our whole makeup routine. It just can’t be complete without the eye makeup, and when on special occasions, we especially need that special glam to make us look exceptional.
Eyelash extensions are a part of eye makeup, an important one indeed. There is a general hype over these beauties, and the eye makeup does look completely flat without them, no one can deny that.
Finding the best one to suit you can be a difficult task, but we will figure it all out together, along with the several types of eyelash extensions available out there.
Eyelash extensions are basically like an add-on to your natural lashes. They are applied over your lashes, and enhance your natural lashes, making them look much thicker and glamorous.
The material and looks can vary with the different types of eyelash extensions. To be honest, eyelash extensions are my favorite part of the makeup routine, because they just instantly open your eyes.

They do the work of making your eyes look so many more attractive and catch everyone’s attention. And let’s not forget the part where they bring out the color of your eyes too, making your eyes pop and shine.
They are normally glued over your lash line, or your lashes, depending on the type of lashes you are using, and they usually are applied at the end of the makeup, as a final touch.
To start with the basic kinds of lashes out of which all the other types derive, there are just two types of eyelash extensions. Temporary lashes and Semi-Permanent lashes:
Temporary Lashes are the lashes that, as the name might explain, are applied to the lashes temporarily. They only last for a day and are ideal to wear on a large function on which you have to look glamorous.
They are glued over your lash line and stay there for as long as you don’t remove them. But it is important to get rid of them before you go to bed.
They’re also best if you’re on a budget and don’t want to spend too much money, as they are mostly inexpensive. They are DIY, so you can apply these on your own without messing up, with the help of glue. As a whole, temporary lashes are all good if you have a single function.
In the case of you having multiple functions coming up in a row, trying to afford several pairs of eyelash extensions for each occasion.
If this, or if you are maintaining a very high maintenance lifestyle, semi-permanent lashes would be perfect for you. They differ from Temporary lashes, as they can only be applied by a professional.
They are glued to your natural lashes, lash by lash, and they stay like that for about 6-8 weeks. They don’t need to be removed before you go to bed, they can be slept in without any harm.
They don’t need to be removed either, as they will shed by themselves after their life is up like your natural lashes do. But these are thrice as expensive as the temporary ones.
After that, there are several kinds of already made lashes out there, which can give you several different looks. For example the sexy look, cute look, glamorous look, and others.
They differ in the distribution of eyelashes, some having more lashes on the edges, some having equally distributed ones, and some having more on the center.
Each can help you achieve a specific look. Other than these types, eyelashes can also be differentiated by the length and curl of the lashes included in the extensions.
The following are the further types of eyelash extensions, which are classified according to the material.

If you’re wearing temporary eyelash extensions, then you’re good to go and don’t have to take special care of your lashes, as they would be off just after a day.
But if you’re getting semi-permanent lash extensions, you’ll surely want to make them last as long as possible. Following are some tips which can help you do that.
This one also depends on the types of eyelash extensions that you’re using. If you’ve been wearing the temporary ones, they are fairly easy to remove, and some olive oil will do.
But with semi-permanent ones, it can be tricky. You have to be careful and try to do as less damage to your lashes as you can manage
Eyelash extensions have been a lifesaver at so many countless occasions, but it can be fairly difficult to figure out which eyelash extension to go for amongst the several types of eyelash extensions out there.
It is just important to determine the kind that will go with you in the best way possible, with you being comfortable in every way. However, nothing should hold us back from trying these out and experiencing the true magic of these lash extensions!
